Text message displays on lock screen - how to turn off? Sep 27, 2014

   I've been playing with my settings...
   and don't know what I did...but now when text letters some in...the message is displayed on the lock screen...
   yikes...

   besides - is in that location a CM 11S for dummies...beginners guide...manual...anything?
   I feel like I'm treading h2o in the deep end...some written support sure would help.

   I've noticed if you lot put a pin on the phone it'll not show whatsoever sort of information unless the pin has been entered. Requite that a try.

   I've been waiting for someone to make a menses chart for all the options that made up in the setting app and going down the list explicate what information technology does.

   If y'all utilise the default SMS app (non hangouts) y'all can enable privacy mode by going to the messenging app -> three dots in upper correct mitt corner -> settings -> privacy style.

   On the lower 2/3 of the screen (I have slide lock screen)
   Below the Fourth dimension and
   Appointment

   the text message appears

    I dont think yous can. The privicy way within the app is for the meridian notification.
    SMS still prove on the custom lockscreen.

    Untick custom lockscreen and apply default, thats what I did , so setting > lockscreen and untick.

    I have this trouble with my phone where this message is constantly getting displayed,while in that location is zero in my notification drawer and I am non able to discover out which app is throwing this message.I demand to get away with this message.

    I was having the same issue. I searched and searched through various settings. Someone in another thread resolved his event past just reading the message. I couldn't believe that I hadn't thought of that. I found the bulletin stuck on my lock screen was all the same "unread". In one case I read the message in Hangouts, the message was removed from the lock screen.

    No so much of a fix or solution just information technology works in a mode.

    I've realised that this only shows up when the telephone's insecure lock screen is enabled. Information technology's solved by using a lock - pin/ password/ face recog/ design.
    It works for me equally I don't mind seeing the bulletin if I'1000 habitation (I don't want information technology showing up just once home information technology'south more of an badgerer than a problem). I but didn't want my messages visible while at work or out. Changing the lock screen setting on the different profiles stock-still it. At home its insecure while at work etc its password locked.

    Else it could be "Owner Info". Cheque this nether Settings->Security.

    Edit: never listen. Nix to exercise with text/notification messages....

    Take the same problem since two days. Don't know why and it annoyes me

    Solved information technology:
    I don't know why simply I had to articulate the message in the Standart messaging app. Kind of mysterious cause I use a tertiary political party messaging app since I got the phone (Textra) and never experienced the problem before

    Edit 2:
    Figured out that Textra wasn't the Standart texting app anymore. I don't know why it resetted itself.
    Made Textra as the Standart app once again and now the problem is solved completely.

    Figured it out:

    Settings -> Privacy -> Privacy Guard
    Click on top right 3 doted lines Select -> Advanced
    Select Messaging Tab

    Now curlicue to observe CM Lockscreen, Click and Select Read SMS DB to "Denied"
    Y'all can disable notification for missed calls and sms
